WHAT DOES a CAMPAIGN NEED MONEY FOR?
People often wonder why candidates running for office need donations. The millions of dollars that pour into political campaigns, from Federal all the way to City elections, can be astonishing. For example, in 2020, the Biden campaign spent nearly $2,000,0000,000 to win the presidency.
The majority of money that funds those massive political campaigns doesn’t come from regular folks like us, it is contributed by super PACs and industry lobbying organizations funded by the super rich who are making an investment to protect their interests.
Our campaign is a 100% grassroots effort and we proudly refuse corporate money; we even limit individual donations to our campaign to $500.
We are currently 100% volunteer run, the design of all our materials is donated labor, and our literature is donated or union printed.
The total costs that our campaign needs to cover before January 2024 is $25,733 and the breakdown of these costs is listed below. Please consider helping us meet these critical expenses by donating to our campaign.
